Zuleima Thompson

Zuleima Thompson, 85, of Munfordville, KY passed away at 7:35 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at her residence in Munfordville, KY. The Grayson County native was born on July 4, 1922. She was a homemaker and a member of Jericho Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen Thompson. She was the daughter of the late David Thompson and the late Mary (Powell) Thompson. She is survived by her Seven Daughters: Mary Lou Burnett of Mooresville, IN; Dorothy Jean Bird of Sonora, KY; Helena Chapman of Stevensville, TX; Juanita Sullivan of Munfordville, KY; Irene Jordan of Lexington, KY; Geraldine Downey of Bardstown, KY; & Janet Douglas of Chandler, IN; Four Sons: Owen Thompson, Jr. of Beaver Dam, KY; David Lee Thompson of Munfordville, KY; Danny Ray Thompson of Mammoth Cave, KY; & Charlie Dale Thompson of Campbellsville, KY; One Sister: Lillian Jaggers of Franklin, IN. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, & seven step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters: Lula Smith, Charlotte Webb, Ina Gipson, Ursla Day, Ulah Butler, & Audi Thompson; five brothers: Chester, Emil, Joe, Otto, & Reginald Thompson; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, December 13; from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday, December 14; and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday, December 15. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2007 with Bro. Paul C. Hawkins officiating. Interment will be at Cub Run Cemetery in Cub Run, KY.
