William G. "Billy" Minton

William G. "Billy" Minton, age 64, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, in the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was a special deputy with the Hart County Sheriff's Office and  a member of United Faith Independent. He was the former Chief of the Cave City Police Department and also served as a deputy with the Horse Cave Police Department serving a total of 32 years in all capacities.

He was the son of the late Carl Minton and the late Ruth Glenn Lively.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Yvonne Minton; two daughters, Angela Minton (Dallas Fultz), Cave City, KY, Jessca Posey and her fiance Mike Fontana, of Nashville, TN; one son, Jordan Posey and his wife Shea, of Stearns, KY; one step-daughter, Jamie Cox of Horse Cave, KY; six grandchildren, Morgan Matthews and her fiance, Corbein Barfield of Horse Cave, KY, A.J. Matthews (Destiny Atwell) of Munfordville, KY, Roselyn "Rooster" Posey of Stearns, KY, Aurelia "Cricket" Posey of Stearns, KY, Gabrielle Coomer and her husband Dustin of Indianapolis, IN, Zeke Cox of Horse Cave, KY; one great-grandson, Wallace "Wally" Barfield of Horse Cave, KY.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. CST on Monday, March 14, 2022 with a Masonic Rights Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. CST at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
