William Chester Stewart

William Chester Stewart, age 92, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, KY. Mr. Stewart was the owner of Stewart's Ladies Dress and Childrens Apparel and Stewart's Five and Dime in Munfordville. He was a member of Munfordville Baptist Church, Green River Masonic Lodge #88 and Lions Club. He was also a US Army Veteran. He was the son of the late Chester Stewart and the late Tina Cockrell Stewart.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina Stewart Marion and husband Wes, Glasgow, KY; one son, William Jewell Stewart and wife Marla, Glasgow, KY; two grandchildren, William Christopher Stewart and wife Amber, Glasgow, KY and Sherri Spencer Roberts and husband Mike, Richmond, KY; one great grandson, Spencer Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Olivia Jewell Stewart and Loraine R. Stewart; one sister Nancy Golladay.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 with Bro. George Tichenor and Bro. Brandon Porter officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville City Cemetery, Munfordville, KY. Memorial contriubutions can be made to Next Step Ministries at Glasgow Baptist Church, 401 S. Green Street, Glasgow, KY 42141.
