William Douglas "Doug" Robertson

William Douglas "Doug" Robertson, age 78, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at University of Louisville Hospital. He was a Veitnam Veteran serving  in the US Army. He was the owner/operator of R and R Truck Parts for 30 years, and he was a Ford man through and through. Pre-electronics he would be able to listen to a vehicle and diagnose the issues. In his past he raced cars, pulled trucks and mud-boged. He enjoyed making leather belts and reading Louis L'Amour western books. 

He was the son of the late William Gordon Robertson and the late Mayme Evelyn Fields Robertson.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Trowbridge Robertson; his daughter, Tammy Ann Robertson; one brother,  David Robertson; and infant brother; one sister, Patty McConnell.

He is survived by two daughters, Mamie Yates and her husband David, Horse Cave, KY, Anna Michelle Robertson, Horse Cave, KY; four grandchildren, Whitney Garmon (Jamie), Bon Air, KY, Wesley Yates (Alexis), Upton, KY, Alex Short, Horse Cave, KY, Wyatt Hagan, New Haven, KY; four great-grandchildren, Evelyn Yates, Liam Garmon, Elena Yates, and Legend Yates; a few special littles also survive; one sister, Kathy Eiler, Munfordville, KY; one brother, Billy Robertson (Bonnie), Uno, KY

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Trent officiating.
