William Oliver "W. O." Buckner

William Oliver "W.O." Buckner, age 99, of Canmer, KY, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at his residence in Canmer, KY. The Hart County native was a retired farmer and a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was the son of the late Samuel Buckner and the late Virgie Peal Moss Buckner. He is survived by his wife of 77 years Marie Buckner of Canmer Ky; granddaughter: Amy Jo Carroll (John Michael) of Canmer Ky; great grandson: William Harrison Carroll of Canmer Ky; one sister: Edna Frances Hawkins, Brownsville, KY; several nieces and nephews. In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Billie Joe Buckner and his daughter in law Sue Buckner; also an infant son and ten brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM,CT Monday, October 10, 2011 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM,CT Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, CT Tuesday, October 11, 2011 with Bro. Barry Locke and Bro. Nolan Hensley officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY MAY BE MADE TO THE WILLIAM HARRISON CARROLL TRUST FUND C/O BROOKS FUNERAL HOME.
