Virginia D. Goodman

Virginia D. Goodman, age 89, of Munfordville, KY passed away at 3:55 AM CST Saturday, January 5, 2008, at her residence near Munfordville. The Hart County native was born on October 25, 1918. During World War II she was employed by the firm of Ford, Bacon, & Davis. She later worked for the State of Kentucky and Hart County Deposit as a teller & bookkeeper. Ms. Goodman was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Amos Goodman and the late Mary (Richardson) Goodman. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Frances Defevers, Barbara Sullivan, Bonnye Tessier, Charlotte Goodman, & Sharon Lega, Kermit Willian, Thurston Sullivan, C. A. Goodman, Roger Goodman, Billy Goodman, & Don Sullivan. She is also survived by many great & great-great nieces and nephews. In addtion to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 10 brothers and sisters: Bertha Fulks, Agnes Logsdon, Mary Willian, Elizabeth Sullivan, Boliver, Charlie F. , Thurman, Joe W., Earl (Pete), & Buford Goodman. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to service time on Monday, January 7, 2008. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CST Monday, January 7, 2008 with Rev. Curtis Slinker officiating. Interment will be at Goodman Family Cemetery in Munfordville, KY.
