Velma Elizabeth Craine

Velma Elizabeth Craine, age 82, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was a homemaker and was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late George Dennis and the late Evelyn Dennis and wife of the late Silas Richard Craine. She is survived by five daughters: Frankie Gossett (Howard), Horse Cave, KY, Beulah Mae Brown (Richard), Park City, KY, Marsha Ann Glass (Roger), Munfordville, KY, Shirley Elizabeth Reynolds (Anthony), Park City, KY, Barbara Jean Sturgeon, Cave City, KY; two sons: Jesse James Craine (Mary), Park City, KY, George Robert Craine (Regina), Horse Cave, KY; one daughter-in-law: Shirley Craine, Cave City, KY; one brother: Marshall Dennis, Munfordville, KY; 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Silas Craine Jr., Michael Craine and Jerry Craine and one son-in-law, Randall Sturgeon. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Main Street, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 201 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2011. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2011, Bro. David Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Center Point Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
