Thelma M. Dennis, 94, passed away in her home on December 30, 2022. She was born on March 11, 1928 in Hart County, Kentucky to the late Edward and Mary (Sidebottom) Price.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis M. Dennis; siblings, Clarence Price, Albert Price, Houston Price, William Price, Frances Sams, Opheila Dennis; one great-granddaughter, Hope Wheeler
Thelma married Lewis M. Dennis on May 1, 1943 and the couple moved to the Grant and Miami County area in 1966. Thelma worked for General Tire and retired in 1990 after 24 years of service. In her free time Thelma loved visiting with friends as she never met a stranger. Spending time with her family, children and grandchildren was always a priority. She was fiercely independent and rarely accepted help from anyone but was always quick to help others in their time of need. A true generous heart and thoughtful friend to so many. Thelma also enjoyed playing BINGO throughout her life and made many friends during her weekly games.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Caroline Wheeler, Upton, Kentucky and Patricia Saylors (Mike Myers), Converse, Indiana; four grandchildren, Michael (Paula) Wheeler, Denesa Wheeler, Amanda (Matt) Kindley and Michael Saylors; three great-grandchildren, Abby Wheeler, Sarah (Seth) Elmore and Gage Kindley; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM CT on Thursday, January 5, 2023 and again from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM CT on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery.
