Terry A. Melvin

Terry A. Melvin, age 77, of Hardyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at The Med Center at Caverna. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Joyners Chapel Church. He was a lifelong farmer, and he retired from JL French. He enjoyed quail hunting, and he loved his jersey and hereford cows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Allen "C.A." and Dorothy Sullivan Melvin.

He is survived by his wife, Gay Smith Melvin; one daughter,  Lindy Melvin, Hardyville, KY; one son, Craig Melvin and his wife, Sandra, Hillsboro, OH; two grandchildren, Jodi Trussell and her husband, Keith, and Stacie Felker; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Adli, and Ensley; two brothers, Danny Melvin and his wife, Trina, and Jackie Melvin and his wife, Mary; his uncle, Kenny Melvin; his aunt, Jeannie Sullivan; three sisters-in-law, Leola Close, Annetta Campbell, and Ella Kahler; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM CT on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM CT on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM CT at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Webb Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hart County FFA, Hart County 4H Club, or Pearl Webb Cemetery.
