Susie May (Perkins) Watkins

Susie May (Perkins) Watkins, age 74, of New York, N.Y., passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008, at St. Vincents Hospital in Manhattan, N.Y. The Hart County native was born May 28, 1934 and was a member of Allen Seminary Baptist Church. She was married to the late General Lee Watkins. She was the daughter of the late Lee Perkins and the late Myrtle (Hatcher) Perkins. She is survived by her Three Sisters: Ida Singleton of ChulaVista, CA; Jenetta Walker of Gatesville, TX; & Bertie Hamm of Bronx, N.Y.; One Brother: James Perkins of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Saturday, July 5, 2008 and at Allen Seminary Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to time of service Sunday, July 6, 2008. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM CT Sunday, July 6, 2008 with Rev. Stanford Dixon and Rev. Douglas Barbour officiating. Interment will be at Perkins Family Cemetery in Hardyville, KY.
