Shurilda M. "Pee Wee" Harrison Embry, age 80, of Elizabethtown, KY, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at her daughter's residence in Elizabethtown, KY. She was retired from General Electric and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was the daughter of the late Frank Thompson and the late Mollie Thompson. She is also survived by her husband: Joe Embry of Bonnieville, KY; two daughters: Tammy Harrison Allen (Rick), Elizabethtown, KY, Toni Metcalf (Jim), Elizabethtown, KY; five sisters: Cecilia Mills, Greensburg, KY, Christine Burns, Louisville, KY, Janie Tuttle, Cub Run, KY, Rita Jones, Greensburg, KY, Catherine Thompson, Richmond, VA; two brothers: Atlee Thompson, Fairport, NY, Almon Thompson, Boston, KY; one grandchild: Melissa Leigh, one step grandchild: Melissa Britt; two great-grandchildren: Spencer Leigh, Savannah Leigh. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM CDT, Thursday, July 2, 2009 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM CDT, Friday, July 3, 2009. Funeral service will be 11:00 am CDT, Friday, at Brooks Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Benedict Cemetery, Wax, KY.
