Shirley L. Riggs

Shirley L. Riggs, age 64, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Herman Smith and Lucille Hatfield Smith. She is also survived by her husband: Marion Riggs; two daughters: Pam Fields (Doug), Upton, KY, Paula Cottrell, Millerstown, KY; two sons: Keith Riggs (Sherry), Upton, KY, Kevin Riggs (Angela), Upton, KY; mother: Lucille Hatfield Smith, Leitchfield, KY; three sisters: Pat Gooch, Pikeville, KY, Tina Kiper, Falls of Rough, KY, Nancy Smith, West Liberty, KY; 14 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson Nicholas Keith Riggs. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, October 28, 2011 and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2011. Funeral service will be at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2011, Bro. Carlon Fields and Bro. Clifford Ward officiating. Interment will be at Millerstown Cemetery, Millerstown, KY.
