Sandra Essex

Sandra Essex, age 60, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

She was the daughter of the late Ernie Matthews and the late Barbara Smith.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Matthews, and her two sisters, Anna Mae and Angie Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Essex; one son, Gary Essex Jr.; two daughters, Heather Jewell (Kyle) and Sonya Handy (Eric); one sister, Sheila Ragland; three brothers, Charles Narimore, Joe Smith, and Roger Smith; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Sallee officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Bonnieville.
