Russell E. "Bud" Johnson, Jr. age 88 of Murray, KY passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006. The Chicago, IL native was born on March 27, 1918. He was the son of the late Russell E. Johnson, Sr. and Josephine Frances Kehoe Johnson. His wife was the late Gladys Smith Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a World War II Veteran. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and contractor. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Murray and a member of The United Brotherhood and Joiners of America Carpenter's Union.
He is survived by One Sister-In-Law: Irene Smith of Hodgenville, KY; Two Step-Grandsons: Teddy Dillard and his wife Vickie; Donnie Dillard and his wife Shirley all of Canmer, KY; Nephews: A. R. Hatcher and his wife Melva; Hank Hatcher and his wife Edith all of Murray, KY; Donald Arcaroli of Pensacola, FL; Nieces: Jane Ann Hatcher of Murray, KY; Marilyn Arcaroli, Dexter, Peggy Edwards and husband J. K. all of Hodgenville, KY; Janet Higgason of Hodgenville, KY; Elizabeth Robinson and husband Ray of Versailles; One Great-Granddaughter: Angela Dillard Smith of Mt. Washington, KY; Two Great-Great-Granddaughters: Mariah and Miranda Smith both of Mt. Washington, KY; Two Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren: Christy Robinson and Dalton Jones, Jr. both of Canmer, KY.
Graveside services will be held at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer, KY on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 1:00 PM CDT with Rev. William Earl Hedgepeth officiating. Visitation will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 PM CDT. J. H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray, KY is in charge of the arrangements. Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
