Russell Houk

Russell Houk, age 66, of Munfordville, KY passed away at 8:00 PM CT Friday, May 2, 2008, at his residence in Munfordville, KY. The Green County native was born on May 14, 1941. He was a dairy farmer and of the Pentacostal faith. He was the son of the late Carlos Leon Houk and the late Doris (Tucker) Houk. He was married for 48 years to Willis (Kidd) Houk. He is also survived by his Two Daughters: Joanie Turner (Scott) of Elizabethtown, KY; & Sonya Bell (Ricky) of Rineyville, KY; Two Sons: William Houk (Sandy) of Munfordville, KY & Mark Houk (Sandra) of Rowletts, KY; Three Sisters: Norma Ennis (Steve) & BernaJean Goff (Jesse) all of Greensburg, KY; & Dyrena White (James) of Elizabethtown, KY; Three Brothers: Danny Houk & Stevie Houk both of Nashville, TN; & Benny Houk (Tammy) of Campbellsville, KY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Sarah Crain, Jacob & Andrew Bell, Madison, Nicholas, & Jonathan Houk, Madison & Jackie Riggs; one great-grandchild: Thomas Wells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Leon, Frederick, & Ronnie Houk. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Sunday, May 4, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Monday, May 5, 2008. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT Monday, May 5, 2008 with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Interment will be at Timberlake Cemetery in Munfordville, KY.
