Ricky Dean "Otis" Perkins

Ricky Dean "Otis" Perkins, age 66, of Horse Cave,  passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Medical Center at Caverna. He was a member of Allen Seminary Baptist Church where he enjoyed ushering and fellowshipping with everyone. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a 1973 graduate of Hart County High School where he was Mr. Basketball and Mr. Football.

He was the son of the late Raymond Perkins and the late Bernice Mundy Perkins.

He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Larry Perkins.

He is survived by his daughter, Ricquita Perkins, Cave City, KY; his girlfriend of 24 years, Doris Woodard, Horse Cave, KY; step-children, Ashley Woodard, Horse Cave, KY and Josh Woodard, Horse Cave, KY; three step-granddaughters, Aynesti and Anyia Woodard and Lexi Houchen; one step-great-grandchild, A'Rmania Woodard; one brother, Phillip Perkins (Janis), Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Deborah Perkins Bradley and her husband Glenn, Munfordville, KY; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the chapel of Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Stanford Dixon and Rev. K.T. Ford officiating.

Burial will follow in the Perkins Family Cemetery with millitary honors.
