Rev. Sylvester Lee Burba

Rev. Sylvester Lee Burba, age 83, of Cub Run, KY, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013, at his home in Cub Run, KY. He was a farmer, a member of the Pine Grove United Baptist Church and a Ordained Minister.

He was the son of the late Ralph Burba and the late Estella Brooks Burba

He is survived by four daughters;  Marilyn Kidwell and husband Doug, Mammoth Cave, KY, Helen Sefsik and husband Mark, Sparta, TN, Sylvia Glass and husband Elwood, Munfordville, KY, Doris Dorsey and husband Greg, Cub Run, KY;  one sister;  Rita Burgin, Cave City, KY;  six brothers; Ralph Burba, Jr., Mammoth Cave, KY, J.C. Burba, Cub Run, KY, Kenneth Burba and wife Rosaline, Louisville, KY, Harold Burba and wife Carolyn, Louisville, KY, Larry Burba and wife Linda, Mammoth Cave, KY, Gary Burba and wife Julie, Cub Run, KY;  He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grand children and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Hatfield Burba;  five sisters;  Leta Jones, Ruby Rich, Dorothy White, Virginia Gregory, Betty Norbury.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 9, 2013 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home Munfordville, KY.  Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Bro. Leland Childress officiating. Interment will be at Union Light Cemetery, Mammoth Cave, KY
