Otis Lee Sams

Otis Lee Sams, age 87, of Rowletts, KY, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at his home. He was a retired custodian at Munfordville Elementary School.

He was the son of the late Daniel Sams and the late Ella Sue Brown.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sams; his son, Bobby Sams; five brothers, George R., Jessie S., Jake, Lonnie and Irvin Sams; two sisters, Luree Bryant and Mary Ella Richardson.

He is survived by his granddaughter, April Sams Isaacs of Rowletts, KY; his great-granddaughters, Taylor and Krislyn Isaacs; his step-children, Virgil Waddell of Clinton, TN, Jerry Waddell (Donna) of Louisville, KY, and Faye Pritchard (Kenny) of Horse Cave, KY; one step-granddaughter, Amanda Bailey (Troy) of Horse Cave, KY; one step-great-granddaughter, KayLa Adams; one brother, Charles Sams (Carolyn) of Cave City, KY; many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. CST until the time of service.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the chapel of Brooks Funeral Home with Gary Gaddie officiating. Burial will follow in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
