Oscar Louis Crain

Oscar Louis Crain, age 68, of Hardyville, KY, died Monday, February 8, 2010, at his residence in Hardyville, KY. He was former owner of Crain Grocery and a member of Canmer Baptist Church. He was the son of Daniel Paul Crain and Julia Blanche Hazel Crain of Horse Cave, KY. He is also survived by his wife: Margaret Kinslow Crain; two sons: Matthew Crain (Elizabeth), SanFrancisco, CA, David Crain (Penny), Elizabethtown, KY; two sisters: Rita Karem, Jeffersonville, IN, Julia Strange, Glasgow, KY; two brothers: Frank Crain, Gulf Shores, AL, Roger Crain, Hardyville, KY; two grandchildren: Daniel and Katherine Crain of Elizabethtown, KY; several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2010. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2010, Marty Edwards and David Brandon officiating. Interment will be at Horse Cave Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Central Kentucky or the American Cancer Society.
