Ora E. (McDowell) Meredith

Ora E. (McDowell) Meredith, age 87, of Cub Run, KY, passed away at 9:43 AM CT Sunday, March 14, 2010 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on October 22, 1922. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Edgar McDowell and the late Janie (Carroll) McDowell. She was married to the late Chester P. Meredith. She is survived by Three Daughters: Joyce Jaggers (Leon), Louisville, KY; Lois Meredith, Cub Run, KY & Peggy Wilson (Dwayne), Mammoth Cave, KY; Three Sons: Cecil Meredith (Linda); Cub Run, KY; Larry Meredith, Brownsville, KY; & Russell Meredith (Cheryl), Cub Run, KY; Three Sisters: Annie Sedlar, New Albany, IN; Barbara Lotze & June Rowe, both of Louisville, KY; One Brother: Junior McDowell; Munfordville, KY. She is also survived by 17 GrandChildren; 20 Great-Grand Children & 2 Great-Great-Grand Children. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a Grandson: Jeffery Hawkins; a Great-Grandson: Brian Jaggers, three sisters and four brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT, Monday, March 15, 2010; 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM CT, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 and at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to time of service Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM CT, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 with Bro. Bobby Joe Meredith officiating. Interment will be at Cherry Springs Cemetery, Cub Run, KY.
