Monroe Ford

Monroe Ford, age 90, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away at 4:36 AM CT Monday, November 10, 2008, at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. The Barren County native was born on January 10, 1918. He was a retired employee of Moss Tobacco Company and Kentucky Banking Center in Horse Cave. Mr. Ford was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and a US Navy Veteran. He was the son of the late Leslie Ford and the late Ellen (Wilson) Ford. He is survived by his wife; Alma Ford, Horse Cave, KY; Two Sons: Donald Ford & Edward "Cookie" Ford, both of Horse Cave, KY. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Rebecca ( Curry ) Ford,a son Ronald Joe Ford a Grandson Demetrius Ford, a great-grandson Jordan Rowlett, one brother Roger Lee Ford, two sisters Betty and Sarah Ford. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY. The family will receive friends at Friendship Baptist Church in Horse Cave from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Friday, November 14, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Saturday, November 15, 2008. Funeral service will be at Friendship Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CT, Saturday, November 15, 2008 with Rev. K.T. Ford and Rev. Edward McDowell officiating. Interment will be at Horse Cave Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY.
