Minnie Lee Coats Woodard, age 74, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. She was a retired cook for Cave City Convention Center and a member of Woodsonville Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Coats and the late Verna Lee Maxey Coats, and wife of the late Jack E. Woodard. She is survived by special companion: Johnnie Percell, Horse Cave, KY; five daughters: Mary Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Marsha Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Carolyn Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Doris Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Debra (Marcello) Simmons, Horse Cave, KY: seven sons: Timothy (Melissa) Woodard, Bowling Green, KY, Edward Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Ricky Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Jerome Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Johnny Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Santana Woodard, Horse Cave, KY, Ditanius Woodard, Horse Cave, KY; one step daughter: Darlene Jordan, Horse Cave, KY; one step son: Andre Perry, Munfordville, KY; two sisters: Effie Harris (Toby), Indianapolis, IN, Barbara Driver (Joe), Rowletts, KY; one brother: William Coats (Sandy), Indianapolis, IN; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Ronnie and Kevin Woodard; Granddaughter, Linda Gail Woodard; great-granddaughters, D'Asia and Courtney Woodard; sister, Gertrude Faulkner; brothers, Elzy, Phillip, and Albert Coats. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, May 16, 2010 and from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday, May 17, 2010. Funeral service will be at Woodsonville Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 17, 2010, Rev. Kendell Ford and Rev. Hugh Heater officiating. Interment will be at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens, Munfordville, KY.
