Melva Louise Copelin

Melva (Fields) Copelin, age 75, of Clarkson, KY passed away Thursday, September 28, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. The Hart County native was born on May 27, 1931. She was a homemaker and a member of Millerstown Missionary Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Bro. Ralph B. Copelin. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Fields and the late Opal (Caswell) Fields. She is survived by Three Daughters: Janet Ruth Webb of Munfordville, KY; Sherry Lynn Haycraft (Wymon) of Clarkson, KY; Luanne Ray (Darrell) of Brownsville, KY; One Son: Stephen Copelin (Rebecca) of Clarkson, KY; Three Sisters:Norvella Copelin of Upton, KY;Janice Riggs of Clarkson, KY; Rita Riggs of Upton, KY; Four Brothers: Larry E. (Sonny) Fields of Clarkson, KY; Ronnie, Carlon, & Wendell Fields all of Upton, KY; Seven grandchildren: Troy, Todd, Melanie, Miranda, Sherrita, Lana, & Kyle; Seven great-grandchildren: Whitney, Tyler, Aaron, Ciara, Dylan, Corbin, & Lauren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and special cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bro. Ralph B. Copelin and her son-in-law: Charles Webb. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CDT Friday, September 29 and from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM CDT Saturday, September 30 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CDT Sunday, October 1. Funeral service will be at Millerstown Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 PM CDT Sunday, October 1, 2006 with Bro. Paul C. Hawkins and Bro. Shane Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upton, KY.
