Maxey "June" Pennington, Jr. age 68, of Horse Cave, KY passed away at 6:05 PM CT Thursday, February 28, 2008, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Hart County native was born on July 9, 1939. He was a farmer, self-empoyed mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Henry Maxey Pennington and the late Ruby (Robertson) Pennington. He is survived by his wife Rita (Calhoun) Pennington; Five Daughters: Linda Poynter (Floyd, Jr.); Janet Hayes (Wayne); & Diane Hayes (Doug) all of Horse Cave, KY; Kandy Fields (Jeff) of Edmonton, KY; & Sandy Villarreal (Alex) of Cave City; Six Sons: Roger Pennington (Sheila) of Munfordville, KY; Ricky Pennington (Debbie) of Horse Cave, KY; Stevie Pennington (Sandy) of Center, KY; Johnnie Pennington (Mandy) of Greensburg, KY; Tony Pennington of Horse Cave, KY; & James Pennington of Glasgow, KY; Two Sisters: Naomi Riordan of Hardyville, KY; & Margie Helen Blair of Fountain Run, KY; Three Brothers: Melvin Pennington of Munfordville, KY; Leroy Pennington of Glasgow, KY; & Bill Pennington of Cave City, KY. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Geraldine Pennington and a brother: Tommy Pennington. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM CT Saturday, March 1, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to service time on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 2:00 PM CT Sunday, March 2, 2008 with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Interment will be at Whickerville Cemetery in Horse Cave, Ky.
