Mary Lucy Brewer

Mary Lucy Brewer, age 94, of Canmer, KY passed away at 5:10 AM EDT Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville. The Metcalfe County native was born July 27, 1913. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Blue Springs Baptist Church in Metcalfe County. She was the daughter of the late Albert Yates and the late Vergie (Roberts) Yates. She is survived by her step-granddaughter: Marilyn L. Brewer of Louisville, KY; a step-grandson: Rev. Ricky Brewer of Canmer, KY; her niece and caregiver: Alletha Lasley of Louisville, KY; her nephew and caregiver: U. J. Wood of Greensburg, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Grover Brewer; a son: William Thomas Brewer; five sisters; & two brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CDT Sunday, September 30, 2007 and at Old Blue Springs Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to time of service Monday, October 1, 2007. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2007 with Rev. William Fishback & Rev. Douglas Barbour officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Gilboa Cemetery in Canmer, KY.
