Marilyn Sue (McFelia) Kidd

Marilyn Sue Kidd, age 79, of Nolensville, TN, formerly of Munfordville, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was a member of the River of Life Church in Smyrna, TN. Before moving to Tennessee she was a long time member of Munfordville Baptist Church and a 1960 graduate of Munfordville High School. She was a Kentucky Colonel. She started her career as a social worker in Hart County and retired from the state of Kentucky, writing policy for Child Support Enforcement. She devoted her life to being an advocate for and helping others. She was a strong, kind, giving and sincere person, who had an above average sense of humor.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Woodrow McFelia and the late Gladys Gardner McFelia. She is also preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Bluford Allen McFelia and Maggie Shields McFelia.

She is survived by three daughters, Tammi Kidd Hutton and her husband Lynn, Nashville, TN, Julie Kidd Burd and her husband Michael, Memphis, TN, Melynn Mitchell and her husband Chris, Elizabethtown, KY; one son, Todd Allen Kidd and his wife Ronda, Horse Cave, KY; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Elizabeth, Trey, Ella, Jack, and Cate; one sister, Karen Meredith Duncan and her husband Jim, Frankfort, KY; four brothers, Jeff McFelia and his wife Tammy, Canton, GA, Bob Dishman and his wife Jackie, Newburgh, IN, Karl David McFelia and his wife Lynda, The Villages, FL, David E. McFelia, Goodyear, AZ; one sister-in-law, Carol Baldwin and her husband Mike, Elizabethtown, KY; several loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM CT Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Grider officiating. Interment will follow in the Horse Cave Cemetery.
