Louis Garnett

Louis Garnett, age 88, of Cave City, KY passed away at 7:50 PM Sunday, December 16, 2007, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Barren County native was born on September 19, 1919. He was a retired farmer, a former Mason and a member of Pleasant Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Rebecca Garnett. He was the son of the late Gilliam Garnett and the late Lillie (Richardson) Garnett. He is survived by his Two Sons: John Lewis Garnett of Oxnard, CA; & Melvin Garnett of Horse Cave, KY; Brother-In-Law: Purnice Barnett (Louise) of Campbellsville, KY. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2007 and at Pleasant Oak Ridge Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to service time Friday, December 21, 2007. Funeral service will be at church at 1:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2007 with Rev. Bradley Lewis & Rev. Stanford Dixon officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cave City, KY.
