Lilbern Shipp
June 19, 1932 — September 10, 2015
Lilbern Shipp, age 83, of Bonnieville, KY, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was Road Supervisor for Hart County Fiscal Court, constable and a member of Pike View Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Hansford Shipp and the late Desdie Druen Shipp and the husband of the late Marilyn Shipp.
He is survived by companion, Brenda Highbaugh; one daughter, Joan Ford and husband Lemar, Springhill , TN; two sons, Phillip "Micky" Shipp and wife Tammy, Somerset, KY, Robin Shipp, Hardyville, KY; two sisters, Lola Lobb, Munfordville, KY, Maggie Shelton, Linwood, KY; two brothers, Donnie Shipp, Monticello , GA, James "PeeWee" Shipp, Munfordville, KY; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie and Barry Shipp and a beloved dog Hank.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT, Friday, September 11, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM CT, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM CT, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Shelton officiating. Interment will be at Pike View Cemetery, Pike View , KY. Memorial contributions can be made to Pike View Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
