Laura Marie Brooks

Laura Marie Brooks, age 85 of Horse Cave, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at her daughters home in Glasgow. She was a member of Horse Cave Church of Christ and retired from Dart Container. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; she enjoyed life and her family. She was a special mother to Betty, Rachel, Daryl, Carol, Bill, Mark, Radona, Merida, Rickey, Theresa, and Tom.

 She is the daughter of the late Dora Delphus Atteberry and the late Daisy Juanita Reynolds Atteberry.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Clifton Brooks; one son, Robert Daniel Brooks; one daughter, Mary Juanita Brooks; two brothers, James and Rickey Atteberry. 

She is survived by her two children, Dale Brooks and his wife Michelle and Rhonda Quenzer and her husband Collin, all of Glasgow; nine grandchildren, Brandon Brooks (Joyce), Beth Brooks, Sara Brooks, Aaron Locke, Joshua Brooks (Rachel), William Quenzer, Nicholas Quenzer, Annamarie Quenzer, and Jakob Quenzer; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Brooks, Clark Brooks, Ronan Locke, Tina Marie Brooks; two sisters, Margaret Hendrickson and Betty Breshear; one brother, Tom Atteberry; several special nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-8:00 PM CT on Monday, September 16, 2024 and again from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM CT at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Breshear officiating. Burial will follow at Weldon Cemetery in Bonnieville.
