L. A. "Buster" Gardner

L. A. "Buster" Gardner, age 82, of Munfordville, KY, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was a farmer, a member of Cub Run Baptist Church and he served in the Army during the World War II. He was the son of the late Leonard Gardner and the late Addie Akers Gardner and husband of the late Lucille Rigdon Gardner He is survived by three daughters, Linda Smith (Marion), Nadine Hawkins (David), and Sandra Wright (Dave) all of Munfordville; one sister, Freida Bonn, Brandenburg; five grand children; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucy Cline and Eunice Logsdon; one brother, Carson Gardner and a niece, Betty Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2009 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, March 13, 2009. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 13, 2009, Bro. James Jessie and Bro. Wayland Appleby officiating. Interment will be at Cub Run Cemetery, Cub Run, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cub Run Cemetery.
