Kenneth W. "Whitie" Sims

Kenneth "Whitie" Sims, age 84, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave, KY. He was retired Electrical Technician for WHAS Inc. and a member of Munfordville Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Joe C. Sims and the late Myrtle Lena Withers Sims and husband of the late Mazie Greer Sims. He enjoyed woodworking and refinishing furniture.
He is survived by five sons, Kenneth C. Sims and wife Darla, Bowling Green, KY, Jimmy D. Sims and wife Carol, Mt. Ula, NC, Gregory R. Sims and wife Bridgette, Armonk, NY, Jeff Sims and wife Jackie, Fair Oaks, CA, Rex A. Sims and wife Jane, Abileen, TX; one sister, Alma Jean Harvey, Fort Hood, TX; two brothers, Joe Lane Sims, Gallatin, TN, Jerry Sims, Gallatin, TN; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter Lana Riddle and two sisters Daisey Gassoway & Wilma Jean Baker.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 13, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home Bro. Andy Haley officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph, KY.
