Kenneth Ray Melvin, age 77 of Canmer passed away Friday, Novemeber 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. He was life long farmer who loved collecting antiques, fishing, bird hunting, and pulling trucks. He worked for Sweet Farm Equipment for many years. He loved his family and Case tractors.
He is the son of the late Roy Lee Melvin and the late Oda Lillian Gossett Melvin.
He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine McKinney Melvin; two daughters, Teresa Lynn Melvin and Martha Joyce Perkins; one son-in-law, Billy Perkins; three brothers, C.A., James Coleman, and Herman Melvin.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family; his fishing buddy and best friend, Joe Logsdon, Canmer, KY.
The family will receive friends from 4:00- 8:00 PM CT on Sunday, December 1, 2024 and again from 9:00- 11:00 AM CT on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM CT Monday, December 2, 2024 with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Webb Cemetery.
