Jeff D. Staples Jr

Jeff D. Staples Jr., age 84, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was retired from Louisville Bedding Company and attended Wilkerson Temple United Methodist Church. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was the son of the late Jeff Staples and the late Mary Taylor Staples and husband to the late Geraldine Hudson Staples. He is survived by one daughter: Sandra Renick, Pigeon Forge, TN; three sisters: Ann Logsdon (Gary), Hardyville, KY, Joyce Hockersmith, Louisville, KY, Helen Digh (Charlie), Lake Charles, LA; one brother: James "Jimmy" Staples (Betty), Munfordville, KY; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; caregiver: Gloria "Ilene" Menchaca, Munfordville, KY. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son: Jeffery Alan Staples; one brother: John Lee "Sandy" Staples; two sisters: Geraldine "Gerry" Wilson and Gayle Hawkinberry. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 18, 2012 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, November 19, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, November 19, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Sallee officiating. Interment will be at Center Point Cemetery, Munfordville, KY. Memorial donations can be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
