James Dillard Waddle

James Dillard Waddle, age 79, of Munfordville, KY passed away at 2:45 PM CT on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at his residence in Munfordville, KY. He was a faithful member of the Pine Grove United Baptist Church in Hart County, KY and loved to sing with various gospel and church groups. He was a retired farmer, carpenter & an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was the son of the late Essie Waddle and the late Nora Myrtle (Taylor) Waddle. He is survived by his wife: Joyce Waddle; A Daughter: Cathy Hawkins (Paul); One Son: James Allen "Jimmy" Waddle (Joyce), all of Munfordville, KY; Two Sisters: Mary Wood, Munfordville, KY & Thelma Church, Louisville, KY. He is also survived by Six Grand Children: Daniel Hawkins (Jessamyn), Andy Hawkins, Holli Butler (Caleb), Karisa Waddle, Faith Gaddie (Timmy), & Aaron Gibson (Ashlee); Three Great-Grand Children: Emily Grace Hawkins, Bradley & Erin Brooke Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Millie & Bertie, a brother: Stanley, & a grandson: James Kyle. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM CT, Monday, October 4, 2010 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, October 5, 2010, with Bro. Paul C. Hawkins & Bro. Daniel Hawkins officiating. Interment will be at Center Point Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
