James B. Sanders, age 84, of Horse Cave, KY passed away at 4:45 PM CT Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on November 5, 1923. He was a retired farmer & cabinet maker and a member of Pleasant View United Baptist Church. Mr. Sanders served in the Army during World War II.
He was the son of the late Courtland Sanders and the late Dorothy (Jaggers) Sanders.
He is survived by his wife Lola M. Sanders of Horse Cave, KY; Two Sons: Mark Anthony Sanders (Amy) of Glasgow, KY; & Bro. Jimmy Sanders (Helen) of Cub Run, KY; Daughter: Mary Elizabeth Blair (Dale) of Center, KY; Step-Daughter: Margaret Blair (Gordon) of Monroe, KY; Three Sisters: Imogene Logsdon & Pearline Dennis both of Munfordville, KY; & Magdaline Thompson of LaGrange, KY; One Brother: Clement Sanders of Munfordville, KY.
He is also survived by five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; & three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Tuesday, June 24, 2008 and at Pleasant View United Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to time of service Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Funeral service will be at the church at 11:00 AM CT Wednesday, June 25, 2008, with Bro. Junior Logsdon & Bro. Lennie Hogan officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Munfordville, KY with military rites.
