James Russell Rucker

James Russell Rucker, age 75, of Upton, KY passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, at his daughter's residence in Lexington, KY. The Hart County native was born on August 15, 1931. He was a self-employed carpenter and of the Baptist Faith. He was the son of the late George Willis Rucker and the late Sophia Lela (Smith) Rucker. He is survived by his wife Hazel Mae Rucker of Upton, KY; Two Daughters: Mavonia Deaton (Ron) of Lexington, KY; & Connie Moungey (Mike) of Lawrenceburg, KY; Five Sons: Larry Rucker (Brenda) of Cub Run, KY; Daryl Rucker (Carlene) & Lynnie Rucker (Kathy) all of Upton, KY; David Rucker (Susie) of Munfordville, KY; & Kevin Rucker (Tina) of Cheyenne, WY; Three Sisters: Elaine McCorkle of Brandenburg, KY; Betty Hawkins & Lois Glass both of Louisville, KY; One Brother: Charles Rucker of Brandenburg, KY. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM CDT Sunday, May 6, 2007 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Monday, May 7, 2007. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 2:00 PM CDT Monday, May 7, 2007 with Bro. Howard Srygler and Bro. Justin Pickering officiating. Interment will be at Rucker Family Cemetery in Upton, KY.
