James C. Melvin, age 73, of Canmer, KY passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. The Hart County native was born on November 17, 1932. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired store owner and farmer.
He was the son of the late Roy Melvin and the late Odie (Gossett) Melvin.
He is survived by his wife Geneva Melvin of Canmer, KY;
Two Brothers: C. A. Melvin and Kenneth Melvin both of Canmer, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM CDT Monday, July 17, 2006 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday, July 18, 2006. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday, July 18, 2006 with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer, KY.
