James Allen Perkins

James Allen Perkins, age 71, of Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY. Perkins was a farmer and a member of Allen Seminary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Henry Lee Perkins and the late Myrtle Hatcher Perkins. He is survived by four daughters: Kathy Mitchell (James), Glasgow, KY, Patsy Perkins, Bowling Green, KY, Lisa Hatchett (Kerry), Bowling Green, Jamie Hayes, Glasgow, KY; two sons: James Randell Perkins and Christopher Allen Perkins both of Glasgow, KY; three sisters: Ida Singleton, Chuka Vista, CA, Berdie Hamm, NY, Jenetta Walker, Gatesville, TX; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Willie Robert Perkins, James Lee Perkins, Raymond Perkins; six sisters: Christine Cobb, Catherine Perkins, Doris Perkins, Ella Reed, Mattie Twyman and Susie Watkins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, May 3, 2012 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2012, Rev. Freddie Brown and Rev. Glenn Woodard officiating.
