Hazel Lothery Dixon

Hazel Lothery Dixon, age 87, of Bonnieville, KY, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016, at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY. She was a homemaker, retired housekeeper and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Mike Lothery and the late Eva Dixon Lothery and the wife of the late Leonard Dixon.

She is survived by one daughter, Eunice Curle and husband Rev. Billy Curle, Hodgenville, KY; seven sons, Leonard Dixon and wife Carolyn, Bonnieville, KY, Gilbert Dixon, Bonnieville, KY, Floyd Dixon and wife Amber, Louisville, KY, James Monroe Dixon and wife Donna, Elizabethtown, KY, Harold Stevie "Red" Dixon and wife Sharon, Elizabethtown, KY, Shelby Dixon and wife Lucille, Bonnieville, KY, Phillip Dixon, Bonnieville; one sister, Augusta Dixon, Bonnieville, KY; one sister-in-law, Carrie Thompson, Bonnieville, KY; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, two step grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step son, Bobby Joe Stewart; three brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Friday, March 18, 2016 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM CT, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. John C. Glover and Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Bonnieville, KY.
