Goldie H. (Huffman) Dever

Goldie H. Dever, age 93, of Glasgow, KY formerly of Cave City, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at Diversicare of Glasgow in Glasgow, KY. She was retired Civil Service at Fort Knox Laundry and was a member of Monroe Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Dorsey Huffman and Annie Franklin robertson Huffman and wife of the late Hilary Brooks Dever.
She is survived by three daughters, Stella London, Hardyville, KY, Judith Dennison, Cave City, KY, Sherry Lee, Lexington, KY; one son, Larry W. Bastin, Sulphur, KY; two sisters, Dorothy Jean Hiser, Canmer, KY, Ruth Moss Jewell, Magnolia, KY; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by infant son, son, Donnie Bastin; grandson, Mark Bastin, great grandson, Montana Allen Sydnor; three sisters, one brother and several half brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Joey Bunch officiating. Interment will be at Whickerville Cemetery, Hardyville, KY. Memorial contributions can be made to Whickerville Cemetery.
