Gertrude Faulkner, 74, of Rowletts, KY, passed away at 2:04 AM ET Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. The Hart County native was born on August 1, 1933. She was a cook for Hart County Bank & Trust and Hart County High School and a member of Woodsonville Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Coats and the late Verna Lee (Maxey) Coats. She is survived by her husband; C. J. Faulkner of Rowletts, KY; Four Daughters: Jan Waggoner, Rowletts, KY; Sond Faulkner, Hodgenville, KY; Kaye Faulkner, Rowletts, KY; & Lisa Faulkner, Munfordville, KY; Four Sons: Billy Faulkner (Dorothy) , Indianapolis, IN; Terry Faulkner, Sonora, KY; David Faulkner (Sheila Jean), Cave City, KY; & Larry Faulkner, Elizabethtown, KY; Three Sisters: Effie Harris (Tobe), Indianapolis, IN; Minnie Woodard (Johnny), Horse Cave, KY; & Barbara Driver (Joe), Rowletts, KY; Brother: William L. Coats (Sandy) Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, & several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Jerry Faulkner; a daughter-in-law: Jeanette Faulkner; & three brothers: Phillip, Albert & Elzy Coats. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT, Friday, July 25, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM CT, Saturday, July 26, 2008. Funeral service will be at Woodsonville Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CT, Saturday, July 26, 2008, with Rev. K. T. Ford and Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Interment will be in Woodsonville Memorial Gardens in Munfordville, KY.
