Geneva Knight Walters

Geneva K. Walters, age 89, of Munfordville, KY, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was retired from Crucible Steel, Munfordville Rite Aid, and was a homemaker. She was a former member of Bonnieville Homemakers Club, Bonnieville Saddle Club, a member of Munfordville Baptist Church and WMU. She was the daughter of the late Hillary Knight and the late Ora Reynolds Knight and wife of the late Buckner Walters. She is survived by two daughters: Faye Hayes (Steve), Munfordville, KY, Elle Belt (David), Munfordville, KY; one son: Buckner Dean Walters (Jane), Bonnieville, KY; one sister: Rose Knight Gragson of Elizabethtown; 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Lee Doris Butcher. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2009 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2009. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2009, with Bro. David Belt, her son-in-law officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
