Geneva Melvin

Geneva Melvin, age 73, of Hardyville, KY passed away at 4:00 AM CST Sunday, February 25, 2007, at her sister's residence in Hardyville, KY. The Hart county native was born on December 14, 1933. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Mack Philpott and the late Mary (Moulden) Philpott. She is survived by her Three Sisters: Cathline Rose of Hardyville, KY; Anita Atwell of Horse Cave, KY; & Wanda Jean Sullivan of Canmer, KY; Two Brothers: Henry Philpott of Hardyville, KY & Leonard Philpott of Munfordville, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James C. Melvin; a sister: Nellie Stuart; and two brothers: Amos and Hearl Philpott. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST Tuesday, February 27, 2007 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 11:00 AM CST Wednesday, February 28, 2007 with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer, KY.
