Frances C. Brown

Frances C. Brown, age 81, of Bedford, IN passed away at 4:05PM ET Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Bedford Regional Medical Center in Bedford, IN. The Hart County native was born on September 6, 1926. Ms. Brown was a retired employee with Indiana Bell for nineteen years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Bedford where she served on the mission board, as an usher and church clerk for many years. She was the daughter of the late Roe Woodard and the late Nellie (Thornton) Woodard. She is survived by her husband George Thomas Brown of Bedford, IN; Three Daughters: Georgenia Curry of Louisville, KY; Mary Rowlett (James) of Munfordville, KY; & Phyllis R. Wagers (Forrester) of Bedford, IN; Four Sons: William T. Brown (Sharon) of Bloomington, IN; Edward L. Brown (Marsha); Clarance H. Brown (Darlene) all of Bedford, IN; Rick Brown (Tammy) of Mitchell, IN; Sister-In-Law: Mattie Thornton of Bedford, IN. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren & several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Richard, Clarence, Edward, & Robert Henry Woodard; a son-in-law: W. L. Curry. Arrangements are being handled by Day & Carter Mortuary, Bedford, IN where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET Thursday, July 3, 2008 and at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM CT Saturday, July 5, 2008. Funeral service will be at Woodsonville Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CT Saturday, July 5, 2008 with Rev. Sylvester Skyes & Rev. Donald Griffin officiating. Interment will be at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens in Munfordville, KY.
