Floyd Mills Maxie

Floyd (Mills) Maxie, age 76, of Bonnieville, KY passed away at 9:50 PM CDT Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Jefferson County native was born on July 24, 1931. She loved children and devoted her life to babysitting. Ms. Maxie was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Mills and the late Ora (Brents) Mills. She is survived by her Three Daughters: Carolyn Jean Dixon (Leonard Sylvester); Patricia Sue Thompson (John Allen); & Sherry Lynn Edwards all of Bonnieville, KY; Nephew: Joe Driver (Barbara Sue) of Munfordville, KY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Maxine Elliott Robertson & James Henry Maxey; and a half-brother: Willie Mills. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CDT Saturday, October 6, 2007 and at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to time of service Sunday, October 7, 2007. Funeral service will be at the church at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2007 with Rev. Ray Stewart, Jr. and Rev. John C. Glover officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Bonnieville, KY.
