Eva Marie Bradley Dyton-Glover was born to Will and Lula Bradley on April 16, 1928. Early in life, she joined Woodsonville Baptist Church in Munfordville, Kentucky where she grew up. She departed from this life on December 15, 2023, in Hartford, CT.
Eva graduated from Horse Cave High School and went on to study at Kentucky State College (now Kentucky State University), graduating in 1951 with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority. She taught at the Carter Dowling Elementary School and Horse Cave High School until she moved with her husband to Trenton, New Jersey in 1953. She married Joseph Samuel Dyton in 1952 and relocated to Trenton, New Jersey where she joined Shiloh Baptist Chruch. Eva and Joe had two children, Regina Sybil Dyton and Joseph Samuel Dyton, Jr.
Later in life, she took graduate courses in early childhood at Trenton State College in Trenton, New Jersey and Tufts University in Boston. She was a member of the New Jersey Educator’s Association and regularly attended their conferences and events.
After Joseph Dyton senior passed away, she remarried David Glover and joined Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church. She was a proud and dedicated member of Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as chair of the
Mother Board and taught Sunday School. Eva worked as a substitute teacher, adult education instructor, nursery
school teacher, and day care director. She was a brownie, girl scout and cub scout leader. Civically active, she volunteered to drive people to the polls at every election and worked at the polls. Eva leaves her two children, Regina and Joseph Dyton to mourn her, five grandchildren, Joseph and James Dyton, Rayna and Edward White, and Alvin Shannon, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of loving relatives.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM CT on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Woodsonville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Woodsonville Baptist Church. The funeral service will be live streamed on Brooks Funeral Home's Facebook page. Burial will Follow in the Woodsonville Memorial Gardens.
