Elsie Avery

Elsie G. Avery, age 87, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Richardson and the late Ella Fitzaland Richardson. She was the wife of the late Douglas Avery. She is survived by two daughters: Wanda Snyder, Louisville, KY, Brenda King (James), Munfordville, KY; one son: Roger "Butch" Avery (Janice), Munfordville, KY; two grandchildren: Ben Killman (Stacey Kidd), Erin Kristin Webb; three great grandchildren: Claudia Asbury, Katrina Webb, Christian Kidd. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Avery. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Thursday, October 20, 2011. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Brooks Funeral Home, Bro. Sean Riggs officiating. Interment will be at Wilkerson Temple Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
