Edith Waddle Murphy

Edith Waddle Murphy, age 71, of Munfordville, KY passed away at 5:28 AM EST on Friday, November 17, 2006, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. The Hart County native was born on July 30, 1935 and was a retired school bus driver for the Hart and Jefferson County Boards of Education. She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Amos Waddle and the late Flossie (Taylor) Waddle. She is survived by her husband William Lee Murphy; One Daughter: Teresa Murphy of Anchorage, AK; Two Sons: Darrell Murphy (Linda) of Lagrange, KY; Jeff Murphy (Cheryl) of Munfordville, KY; One Sister: Joyce Hester of Munfordville, KY; Four Brothers: Curtis Waddle of Louisville, KY; Everett and Eddie Waddle both of Munfordville, KY; Noble Waddle of Brandenburg, KY; Three grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ova & Arnold Waddle. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST on Saturday, November 18, 2006 and from 9:00 AM until time of service at 2:30 PM CST on Sunday, November 19, 2006. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM CST on Sunday, November 19, 2006 with Rev. Curtis Slinker officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery in Munfordville, KY.
