Ecil C. Brooks

Ecil C. Brooks, age 70, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. The Edmonson county native was born March 25, 1941. He was formerly employed as a welder with Mobile Drill in Indianapolis, IN. He is the son of the late Virgil Brooks and Dessie (Newton) Brooks. He is survived by his Wife Jayne (Porter) Brooks; Munfordville, KY; One Daughter: Jennifer Pruitt (James); Hardyville, KY; Three Sons: Jeffery Brooks; GA, Roger Brooks (Carla), Indianapolis, IN; & David Brooks (Rhonda), Upton, KY; Four Sisters: Lorene Caswell & Ruby Brooks both of Horse Cave, KY; Brenda Blair (David), Munfordville, KY & Linda Sweet (Kenneth), Canmer, KY; Three Brothers: William L "Bill" Brooks (Wanda), Munfordville, KY; Alvie Brooks, Indianapolis, IN & Roger Brooks (Carolyn), Cave City, KY. He is also survived by Seven Grandchildren: Jacob, Emily, Caitlin, Devin & Cody Brooks; Jillian & Jay Pruitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence & Leo Brooks. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm CT, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 and from 10:00 am to time of service Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Funeral service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 pm CT, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 with Bro. Lindell Sexton officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville City Cemetery, Munfordville, KY
