Dorothy Hazel Gardner, age 96, of Henderson, KY formerly of the Linwood Community, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. She worked various jobs including serving as a special caregiver to many people, homemaker and a long time member of Aetna Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, VBS worker and was an active member of the WMU. She became a member of Zion Baptist Church upon her relocation to Henderson, KY.
She was the daughter of the late Pete Miller and the late Nannie Gosnell Miller and wife of the late William "Eck" Gardner. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Miller and Lloyd Miller and two half brothers, Arthur Lewis and Homer Lewis. She is survived by one son, Danny Gardner (Susan Laurene), Henderson, KY; one grandson, Brian Gardner and one granddaughter Stacey Gardner Rideout (Brian); five great grandchildren, Abigail Gardner, Daniel Gardner, Jake Rideout, Allyson Rideout, Brynn Rideout.
The visitation and funeral for Mrs. Gardner will be private.
